Is Measure Now free?
You can start measuring for free. An optional Pro upgrade unlocks more.
Does it need a LiDAR iPhone?
No. Measure Now measures with the camera and ARKit, so it works on iPhones without LiDAR. Room scan uses Apple's RoomPlan and needs an iPhone with a LiDAR scanner.
How accurate is it?
Accuracy depends on light, surface and how steadily you move. It is built for furniture, DIY, shopping and planning. For cuts that must be exact, check with a physical tape. You can calibrate in Settings.
Which iPhones and iOS versions are supported?
iPhones running iOS 17 or later.
Can I measure a plain white wall?
Yes. The app tells you what to do on screen, such as holding steady, and uses nearby surface cues to help you place the first point.
Where are my measurements and photos stored?
On your iPhone. Measure Now does not need an account.
Which languages does it speak?
English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Hindi, Japanese and Simplified Chinese.
Getting the most accurate result
- Use good light and aim at surfaces with some texture.
- Move slowly for a few seconds before placing the first point.
- Calibrate once in Settings with a credit card for better results.
- For cuts that must be exact, always check with a physical tape.
